Something awful happened tonight. I had "Judas" stuck in my head. After cleaning my ears (not even a joke, I really did have to clean my ears), I decided to give in and watch the video.
Holy mindfuck.
Lady Gaga portrayed the 12 apostles as a motorcycle gang. Actually, other than that and a slightly confusing and erotic footwashing scene, the video was much better than the song is. I appreciate that the dance moves are fairly simple for the most part. That's going to make parody videos a million times easier and more entertaining to watch!
After watching "Judas" I decided to watch "Born This Way" since I love the song and had never seen the video.
Holy mindfuck.
The first three minutes are awful. It reminded me of what Chandler must have suffered through in "The One With the Birthing Video" where he expected to view porn and watching a birthing instead by accident. Once I made it past that part, I liked it more, but if it wasn't for the music that I knew HAD to be coming, I would have turned it off before the first minute was up.
All in all, good work, Lady Gaga. You have successfully made me give a second look at 13 years of religious education and made me terrified to ever birth ANYTHING.

I'm back with more funness (or things to do at work... except I work at home while watching TV and drinking wine soooo...)!
The 30 Day TV Meme (what exactly is a meme anyway?):
Day 1: A show that should have never been cancelled
Easy. GILMORE GIRLS. I blame Amy Sherman-Palladino for the downfall of a fantastic show that ended entirely too soon.
Day 2: A show you wish more people were watching
Hmm... either Army Wives or Covert Affairs. I love both of these shows, but it seems like outside of a couple of friends and my family (at least as far as CA goes), not many other people watch them. Obviously there are people watching them... CA was renewed for a second season after like the 4th episode of the first season, but they're not people I know. So next summer when they both come back (fingers crossed on AW!), watch them!
Day 3: Your favorite new TV show (aired this season)
Well technically we're in between the end of the summer season and the beginning of the fall season, so I'll say Covert Affairs since that came out when I was on vacation, which by the way, it doesn't seem possible that that was almost 2 months ago, but it was.
Day 4: Your favorite show ever
NCIS. Hands. Down. This is another show that I just started watching a little over a year ago, but let me tell you, I've seen every episode at least twice, and most of them I've seen way more times than that, and if a show can keep my interest that strong in such a high concentrated amount. Let's face it, I get distracted easily, so the fact that NCIS has kept my attention so well is kind of a big deal.
Day 5: A show you hate
I realize I'm going to get flack for this, but I don't care. I really hate Grey's Anatomy. I think it went from a good hospital drama to a completely outrageous circus disguised as a hospital. Too many good actors have left the show for bullshit reasons, and it shows. Yes, having a season finale where numerous people randomly get shot gets a lot of attention, but if it was a good show, it would have gotten the same attention with something understated. No one gives a flying fig about the other episodes from the most recent season, and that's because they sucked.
Day 6: Favorite episode of your favorite TV show
This is mean! There isn't an episode I don't love. I guess if I had to pick one about the others, it would probably be Twisted Sister. I love how dedicated McGee is to his sister (and real-life step-sister... Don Bellasario keeps it in the family!) and of course, it's the big reveal of the book he's been working on in secret... probably because he "loosely" based all of the characters off of his co-workers. Whoops. Anyway, I like it because it's one of those turning-point episodes where we start to see that McGee isn't as green as he used to be.
Day 7: Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Another bad question! Probably Judgement Day Part 1&2. I know that Jenny was dying of something (rumors online speculated that it was muscular dystrophy) anyway, but I really hate how she was killed off of the show, and then they brought in Vance. I hate Vance a little less now than I did at the beginning of season 6, but I don't think it was fair what they did to Director Shepherd's character. She's actually an intelligent and competent woman in season 3 and most of season 4, but then in season 5 they turned into an obsessive maniac. Plus, I read online that Lauren Holly had no idea that she was being killed off of the show, and I think that's crappy. At least when Kate was killed off, Sasha Alexander wanted off of the show.
Day 8: A show everyone should watch
This may sound silly, but everyone needs to watch just one episode of 19 Kids and Counting. Even if you don't believe in the Duggar's policy regarding the number of their children, you can't deny that those kids are some of the most polite and well-behaved children out there. Go watch an old episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 and follow it immediately with an episode of 19 Kids and you'll see what I mean.
Day 9: Best scene ever
The scene from Friends where Rachel finds out that she's pregnant. I love love LOVE that Phoebe tricks her into thinking that she's not pregnant so she'll have clarity on what her thoughts on having a baby would be! The look on Rachel's face when Phoebe tells her the truth is priceless... my bet is that they did that in one take.
Day 10: A show you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving
*shifty eyes*... NCIS. You can ask my sister, when she first started watching it in the early part of last summer, I absolutely hated it. I think I only watched bits and pieces of the show, but other than Law & Order: SVU, I had never found a one hour crime drama that I liked. Now I'm hooked.
Day 11: A show that disappointed you
White Collar. On paper, I thought I would really like it, but I got bored after the first couple of episodes. I watched a few episodes this summer because my parents watch it, and I liked them okay, but I still expected more from that show.
Day 12: An episode you've watched more than 5 times
According to iTunes, I've watched Caged (from NCIS, of course) five times. It's the episode where McGee is held hostage in a woman's prison... I'm not surprised that I've watched it that much! Any McGee-centric episode is high on my list!
Day 13: Favorite childhood show
The first show that I remember being in love with was Full House. I actually cried when the last episode aired. I usually cry when the last episode of a show airs. But that was the first. I remember I got really irritated with Michelle and how she basically got to do her own thing when she was so young, but I loved DJ. Donna Jo was the shit. And of course, now I find Uncle Jesse foxy.
Day 14: Favorite male character
If it wasn't for the whole surprise daughter thing, I would have said Luke from Gilmore Girls, but he handled that whole situation so poorly and it destroyed his relationship with Lorelai, so scratch that. Probably Gibbs. He's a very complex person, and yet I feel like every time the writers bring in another dimension of his character, it makes sense. It's like, "Oh, why didn't I see that all along." I'm a big fan of consistency on TV shows, and NCIS does a really good job with that, especially with Gibbs.
Day 15: Favorite female character
Annie Walker on Covert Affairs. Even though the first season just wrapped, I feel like we know a lot about her character already, and she's one strong woman!
Day 16: Your guilty pleasure show
Keeping Up With the Kardashians/Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. No judging, you all have guilty shows too!
Day 17: Favorite mini series
I honestly can't think of an entire mini-series that I've watched.
Day 18: Favorite title sequence
NCIS! I love to dance to the music, and up until recently, they always update the clips. Even when Gibbs left at the end of season 3, when they had the credits for Mark Harmon on screen, the videos behind his name were of him on the beach in Mexico. Now that's dedication to consistency!
Day 19: Best TV show cast
I'm starting to feel like a broken record, but NCIS totally wins this one too. For one thing, the actors are all actually friends in real life. Pauley Perrette and Sean Murray are BIFFLES4LYFE, and when Lauren Holly first joined the cast, she rented a condo with Cote de Pablo (who also had just joined the show), Michael Weatherly, and Pauley Perrette. They were friggin' roomsicles! And even though Mark Harmon is always the one who get interviewed by the bigwigs, he makes a point to emphasize that NCIS is an ENSEMBLE show and that while his names comes first, without the other actors and behind-the-scenes crew, he would be nothing. Now that's love.
Day 20: Favorite kiss
Ross and Rachel in Central Perk. YOU KNOW THE ONE.
Totally just noticed that Rachel's wearing a ring on her left ring finger... what?
Day 21: Favorite ship
McAbby! I know it happened a long long time ago, but there's so much chemistry between them. Plus, they really get each other. Until Vance came around, the only person who really appreciated McGee's tech skills was Abby. And Abby gets jealous every time McGee dates someone new (who usually turns out to be a wack job, so good job for her having that kind of insight) which would be understandable right after they broke up sometime in season 2, but when she's still getting jealous 5 years later... SHE'S DRIFTING INTO RACHEL GREEN TERRITORY!
Day 22: Favorite series finale
I already covered how the ends of shows make me cry. So if I had to pick, I'd say Gilmore Girls. No, it wasn't perfect because Luke and Lorelai didn't get married, but Rory graduated and miraculously got a real-person job (with Obama!) so I feel like it ended in a good spot. Plus Richard actually tells Lorelai how proud he is of her for what she's done with her life and how she's raised Rory.
Day 23: Most annoying character
Meredith Grey. Look in the dictionary for "whiny self-absorbed bitch" and there's a picture of Meredith, I guarantee it.
Day 24: Best quote
From Army Wives: The mind plays tricks on us at times like this. It has to. We need it to. It's how we're able to power on and do what needs to be done. Even something as mundane as doing the dishes that are piling up in the sink, or going out, getting up and doing what needs to be done for your loved ones. The future doesn't stop. We all search for strength on that first day or two. I did. But whether what I found was true strength or some part of our DNA that makes us want to reach out and help, I don't know. Times like this we question our own strength, our ability to hang on and not crumble. It's one of the things I admire most about the army wives I've met. Must be a military thing- this capacity to press on despite the obstacles, to see a mission through to its completion. No matter what happens that makes us question the world we live in, life goes on, as cliché as that sounds. One generation passes the baton to the next generation and the cycle of life continues. Regeneration- life renewed. What is it that the poets keep trying to hammer into our heads? Winter becomes spring, night becomes day, as one wave crashes onto the shore and disappears, another one appears behind it, and another and another. I guess we humans just plain want to stick around. The ride must be worth the price of admission. And it's not in us to give up hope, even when any reason for hope has dwindled to almost nothing. This communal spirit, this crazy insistence that we all are connected in each other's caretaker, it keeps us from sinking into despair, or sliding into the abyss. What is it about the human touch- holding a loved one close and feeling their warmth, their heartbeat. I mean this is the Army and frequently our loved ones are far away. But their warmth doesn't have to be. At times it feels totally random. It's roll of the dice on who lives and who dies. At some point words fail us and we're left with silence. Silence and time. I read something once, to live in hears you leave behind, is not to die. I don't know what each of you is going to do today, but now is the time to tell those you love, that you love them. Like we loved Amanda and she lives in our hearts still, and will never be forgotten. Me, I think I'm going to pick up my kids up and take that ride down to the ocean like they wanted. The water's beautiful this time of the year. Besides, they know where the gold starfish are.
Just rereading that made me teary-eyed. Good stuff.
Day 25: A show you plan on watching, old or new
I really want to watch Rissoli and Isles, even though the summer season ended. But I want to see what Sasha Alexander is like in a major role that isn't Kate. And she plays a medical examiner!
Day 26: OMG WTF? Season finale
NCIS always ends their seasons with a bang. Let's review:
Season 1: Kate was taken hostage by Ari, and Ari attempts to shoot down Marine One.
Season 2: Kate gets sniped by Ari, after taking a bullet to save Gibbs when the team is trying to prevent Ari from launching a guided missile at a Navy ship returning home.
Season 3: Gibbs gets blown up on a merchant ship, suffers memory loss and thinks he's still fighting in Desert Storm, and ultimately retires to Mexico to live with Mike Franks.
Season 4: Tony's car gets blown up while NCIS is watching in MTAC and thinks he was in it when they find his badge, gun, and cell phone in with the charred remains. Director Shepherd finds evidence that her father, who allegedly killed himself years earlier, is in fact still alive.
Season 5: Director Shepherd, Tony, and Ziva attend the funeral of another NCIS agent in LA, while Jenny discovers that her cover may have been blown on an undercover op years earlier, and now that person is killing off people involved in that mission; first the agent whose funeral they went to, then Jenny, and eventually Gibbs (but the last never happens, thankfully). Vance becomes the new director of NCIS, and he splits up Team Gibbs, sending Tony to be an Agent Afloat, Ziva back to Israel, and McGee to the Cybercrime unit.
Season 6: Tony kills Ziva's boyfriend (and Mossad partner), and Ziva's apartment gets blown up. Ziva permanently moves back to Israel, until her father sends her on a mission that ultimately ends with her being held prisoner in Somalia.
Season 7: The members of the drug cartel that Gibbs killed the leader of years earlier (because he killed Gibbs' wife and young daughter) are now after Gibbs, and go around trying to kill the people Gibbs holds nearest and dearest. The show ends with the cartel woman going into Gibbs' father's shop and flipping the sign on the door to closed. Creepy.
Day 27: Best pilot episode
Covert Affairs! I was completely hooked on the first episode, so much that I watched it 3 times in less than 48 hours, and part of that time I was traveling.
Day 28: First TV show obsession
In more recent years, Gilmore Girls. I don't know if I was really obsessed with Full House because I was so little, but that may have been the actual first.
Day 29: Current TV show obsession
I'm not even answering this. If you can't figure that out by reading this survey, you're dumber than I thought.
Day 30: Saddest character death
When I watch the episodes after Kate's death on NCIS, I cry more than I do when Jenny died. Jenny's death was handled very differently. It was basically swept under the rug... and then her house was lit on fire. Kate's death was very public. We got to see each of the team's thoughts around her death, and how they all reacted. Like when Tony starts to pick on McGee (like usual) when McGee makes some stupid comment about how Kate probably doesn't look that bad from the front because of the type of bullet used to shoot her in the head, and then McGee asks Tony to stop because he just can't handle that kind of criticism that day, and Tony actually stops. It's one of the few times we get to see Tony respect McGee. And when "Kate" scolds Gibbs for being late to her funeral, even thought it's such a sad moment, it makes me smile a little bit because it's very ... Kate.

Day 30: Saddest character death
When I watch the episodes after Kate's death on NCIS, I cry more than I do when Jenny died. Jenny's death was handled very differently. It was basically swept under the rug... and then her house was lit on fire. Kate's death was very public. We got to see each of the team's thoughts around her death, and how they all reacted. Like when Tony starts to pick on McGee (like usual) when McGee makes some stupid comment about how Kate probably doesn't look that bad from the front because of the type of bullet used to shoot her in the head, and then McGee asks Tony to stop because he just can't handle that kind of criticism that day, and Tony actually stops. It's one of the few times we get to see Tony respect McGee. And when "Kate" scolds Gibbs for being late to her funeral, even thought it's such a sad moment, it makes me smile a little bit because it's very ... Kate.

we're all related to Kevin Bacon
It's been a few days. Sorry about that. I've had a busy few days. Katie left for Case Western yesterday, and Mom's up there now for Puggle's orientation. Yesterday was Dustin's going away party too. I know change is inevitable, but I really really hate it. I want all of my friends to stay in one spot forever. Except that I'm ready to get out of Columbus. I just hate thinking that when I come back, they might not all be here.
Last Thursday was Katie's going away cookout with her friends. They discovered that Katie has a hidden talent. She has a knack for connection two seemingly unconnected actors and actresses through TV shows and movies. They would give her two random actors and she would find a way that they're connected. Apparently this is a family trait because I discovered I have a talent for it as well. For example, Katie's friends said to connect Paul Rudd (actually, they said Mike from Friends) and Pauley Perrette (again, they said Abby from NCIS). Katie found a long rambling pathway between the two, which managed to involve Two of a Kind and Covert Affairs, so props for that! But I found a much shorter pathway.

I'm not entirely sure where this whole "Six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon" thing came from, but it's kind of entertaining. Apparently there's a game, a charity, and a website all related to this concept. To be fair, my sister's an actor, so this was really easy for me. But look at it this way, if you know me, just tack yourself to the end of the chain!

everything that's important gets cleaned
Really quick: I had the same dream last night that I did two nights ago except for two small changes:
1. Laura wasn't a bitch and was actually really nice to me.
2. Bill was actually a ghost.
I don't even want to try to figure that one out.
Anyway, I really want to see Eat, Pray, Love! I see the trailer for it multiple times a day because I'm watching the entire series of Major Dad on Hulu, and it's either that or an ad for Band-Aid. I feel like this movie could be my life to a certain extent. No, I haven't traveled abroad recently, but I have done a lot of self-discovery. I want to read the book too, but I'm already in the middle of reading two other books, so that's going to have to wait.
Since I've been spending my free time watching Major Dad, I've noticed a trend. Time for a list!

I'm going to take this opportunity to demonstrate how awesome my day was.
- Woke up way early
- Spent about an hour and a half in LA traffic this morning
- Went on the Warner Bros. Studio tour!
- Got to see outdoor sets from Gilmore Girls!
- Got to see original costumes and props from Harry Potter!
- Got to see the set of Central Perk from Friends AND I got to sit on *the* couch!!
- Had a delicious lunch that included avocado
- Roasted in the hot LA sun outside Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Kodak theater
- Had a tasty milkshake from Coldstone
- Spent an hour and 45 minutes in LA traffic heading back to Anaheim this evening
- Laughed my ass off listening to Steve Hofstetter in the car
- Ate an okay dinner at Mimi's Cafe
- Watched my sister be served a blueberry muffin with butter and ranch dressing
- The end!
My vacationing is at last coming to an end... I left on the Western trip one month ago, and now I have just a few days before going back to C-bus for my last stretch of home time before leaving for grad school. It seems crazy, but I think I'm okay with being done with traveling for awhile. I need to get back on some sort of a regular schedule, and most importantly, I need to start thinking about grad school. To be perfectly honest, I've kinda forgotten about it. But no more! It's time to start thinking ahead.

there's no such thing as a shameless plug
Hi! I bet you all thought I wasn't gonna make my daily post for today. Or you don't give a damn. In that case, I say *pounds fist together, Gellar style*!
Anywhoodles, today I have discovered amazingness and less-than-amazingness. We'll start with the latter.
Back when I was a wee lass of 22, I made a voyage to the maiden land: Disney World. On this trip, one BFF of mine by the name of Jackie, had a snack treat with her that I had been intrigued by once before, but never actually consumed. Yes, I am talking about Snyder's Hot Buffalo Wing flavored pretzel bites. These pretzels make me do things and go places that I have only experienced while eating Chipotle and taking a really long nap. In the words of Ashlee Simpson, "You (it) make(s) me wanna la-la in the kitchen, on the floor." That's how amazing these pretzels are.
You know how some people have a weird uncle? Well, I have eaten the weird uncle of the buffalo wing pretzel, and I didn't enjoy it. Meet Snyder's Buttermilk Ranch flavored pretzel bites! I LOVE dipping regular pretzels into ranch dressing, so I bought these with the high hopes of finding yet another delectable treat, but I was sorely mistaken. To put it bluntly, they taste like the soap that would be shat out of an evil and sinister man on the Hidden Valley Ranch. So I am very saddened, and I recommend that if you are given the choice, ALWAYS PICK THE BUFFALO.
Onto my second discovery! This evening, I was shopping at Polaris with the same BFF by the name of Jackie, and now buffalo fame, and we stumbled upon a brand new store! It's called Charming Charlie, and charming doesn't even begin to cover it, but I don't think that naming a store "Fucking Awesome Store of Accessories and Pretty Colors" is a good marketing plan. The store is HUGE and everything is organized by color! Right now, the only location in Ohio is at Polaris, but their website lists lots of stores that are opening in the next 3 months, so I wouldn't be surprised if another location opened up in Ohio soon. So here is their website (again): http://www.charmingcharlie.com/ and if you're in Columbus, go to the store ASAP! And if you're not in Columbus, come sleep on my parent's couch and we'll go there together! We have color days at work (our scoring room has a lot of former teachers in it) and Monday's color is yellow. I don't own a single yellow thing in my wardrobe, aside from my high school graduation gown, so finding Charming Charlie was like an oasis in a sea of... nothing yellow to wear. So for my color day, here is what I bought:
Super cute, and cheap too! When we got to the store, the girl who greeted us said that nothing was more than $150, but we didn't see anything more than $40. These little beauties were $7.97! AND I found the type of eyeglass holder that I was looking for before the Eastern Trip, but I'm running out of time so I don't want to take a picture of it. But you should just know that this store is beautiful. If I knew ahead of time that their website doesn't have pictures of inside of their stores, I would have taken a picture, just so you could see the awesomeness!

is there anybody going to listen to my story?
*in Ross Gellar voice* ... Hi.
It's been one of those days where I'm just in a funk. Even though it's Cinco de Mayo, which is loosely translated as "Pretend to give a shit about a Mexican holiday and drink margaritas!" Which is precisely why I am struggling a bit to write this. But I love all of y'all and I WILL PERSEVERE DAMMIT! I'm not about to let some Jose Cuervo mess up my plan to blog every day!!
Back to my funk. I hate work. I woke up in a weird mood because of a frightenly realistic dream and that's had me in a bad mood all day. I've been irritable and distracted and it's like PMS but not. I want my job to just be over. I'm working as fast as I can to try to get through this project and NO. WE HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION TO GRADE AFTER THIS ONE. I'm tired of freezing for nothing. Maybe once I get a paycheck I'll feel a little better. I'm really picky about where I work. Kind of a problem.
Today has basically been like "The One Where Ross is Fine" (which is my all-time favorite episode of Friends, BEE TEE DUBS except for maybe the whole section of episodes where Monica and Chandler start doing the nasty and theyre hiding it from every one). ANYWAY... I'm fine, I had margaritas, but not fajitas. I did have a tasty quesdilla.
I'm tired and I have to go battle a zit from propping my head up with my hand al day work. Yes, Seventeen magazine, you're right. I should have listening to you more. Bitch. So far this job has made me zitty, fatty, cold, and cranky. LOSE LOSE SITUATION RIGHT THERE.
Oh right, I was going to post the NAUGHTY HAIKU.
She got all the pretty genes in the family. I'm not even kidding. Sometimes in my mind I refer to Puggle as Christine 2.0. Then again, I bet even Beyoncé would look like a dog next to her sister before her prom. It's a fact of life that when you take pictures with someone before a formal and you're not dressed formally, you look like a homeless man living under a bridge.

I'm making up for yesterday's short post...
Sundays are becoming my least favorite day of the week. For one thing, there's the impending doom of the work week starting the next day. Plus Friday and Saturday are (usually) so awesome that Sunday just pales in comparison. And the last two Sundays have had really shitty weather, which wouldn't be so bad if I had anything to do today, but I didn't. Facebook wasn't around to distract me for hours on end, so I just watched hours of Friends. I love Friends, but I really hate it when TV shows end. Usually I cry. Even now, watching the last episode of Full House makes me really depressed, and that show's been off the air for 15 years! (and I repeat: when did I get old?!?) But Friends, oh man. I weep like a little child and I've only seen the last episode twice. That's all I can handle. So yes, in addition to poopy weather and poopy boredom, I had poopy sadness today too.
I'm debating on whether or not I want to attempt online dating again. The last time I was single, I joined a free dating site along with my friends Phil and Liz. They both had lots of success (although it was all temporary) but I only actually met two of the guys from the site. One of them I liked a lot, and we met up a couple of times, but we never made it out of the friend zone, and looking back, that was probably pretty wise. He's a nice guy, but we never had that spark. The other guy wasn't that great. We went out once and he spent the whole date texting his friends to make plans to go sing karaoke afterwards. Not cool. And then a few weeks later when we tried to make plans to go out again, he "got called into work" and after that I kinda gave up on him. Then I started dating Bill and completely forgot about the other guy, until I saw that he had unfriended me on Facebook. Awesome socks. So you can see why I have some reservations.
I re-activated my profile about a week and a half ago, but I haven't changed anything on it, including the part where it says Body Type: Skinny! Hahaha, right? But back then, I could claim myself as a skinny person. It also still has a whole bunch of stuff about how I wanted to be a band director. Yup, I really need to do some updating. But I'm still not 100% sure if I want to start that search again. I miss having someone there for me all of the time, but I'm not going to find that at the start of a new relationship. That's what friends are for. It's weird though, some of the simplest things are what I miss the most. I love having my hand held. I love hugs. Scratch that, I REALLY love hugs. I love how boys smell. I love having someone put their arm around my shoulder. I love snuggling into a boy's chest. But again, most of those things I'm not going to find at the beginning of a new relationship.
While I was looking through my external hard drive yesterday to find the recipe for buffalo chicken dip (that I had mistakenly transferred over there when I moved files a few weeks ago), I found my boyfriend requirements list from the last time I was single. Keep in mind that this was from my junior year of college:

Some of this is so ridiculous that it makes me laugh. Some of it is still pretty true. Some of it I think I may have been a smidge bit demanding. Anywho, I've decided to revise this list as I am back on the market (by the way, I really hate that phrase because it makes me feel like produce, but it's better than 'back in the saddle').

If you constantly date the same types of people (*shifty eyes*) you're never going to know what you're missing out on.

This Isn't How I Wanted 2010 To Start
Neil O'Donnell (April 23, 1931 - December 30, 2009)
Neil O’Donnell age 78, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Neil was born April 23, 1931 in New Kensington, PA. Neil was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Grove City Lions Club and a volunteer literacy tutor. He was a US Army Veteran, stationed in Austria during the Korean War, serving in the signal corps. He retired after 39 years from the Federal Aviation Administration as a radar technician. Neil was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be sorely missed. He delighted in the company of his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren loved spending time with their Papa. He was known for his wit, humor and generosity. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Lorraine Marie O’Donnell; daughter Bridget A. O’Donnell; son-in-law Bill Brotherton; brother Owen O’Donnell; sisters Mary O’Donnell, Nora Jean Stephenson and Gracie Sell. Survivors include son Tim (Sue) O’Donnell; daughters Erin (Dan) Stout and Amy Brotherton; brother Johnny O’Donnell, brother-in-law John Nigon and his grandchildren Amanda and Danny Stout, Megan, Emily and Katie Brotherton, Christine, Mike and Katie O’Donnell; nieces, nephews and dear friends. Like it says, NOT how I wanted 2010 to start. My coping mechanisms this time have varied. NCIS helps, but for some reason, I just haven't watched it as much. Right now I'm watching a lot of Friends, and acting like a psychopath. Also, I'm either barely sleeping, or I have nighttime comas.
Moving right along... I'm starting to babysit for a sitting company again. ChaCha is great, but I need some money NOW. With the whole points earning system, how much I earn a month varies, and I don't get it until a month later. Which isn't such a big deal if you think about it because lots of regular jobs have a 2 week delay on their paychecks. Whatevs. My parents don't believe that ChaCha is a job, which is frigging frustrating. If I'm working, I need to be able to work without interruption. And even though it's a work at home job, it's still a job that I signed up to do. People count on me. AND OH EM GEE I DON'T WANT TO OFF MYSELF WHILE I'M WORKING! That's a big step for me.
Speaking of working, I need to sign up for some sitting jobs and then get back to ChaCha-ing. I promise, I won't abandon you 2.5 readers for so long ever again. *mucks*

Neil O’Donnell age 78, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Neil was born April 23, 1931 in New Kensington, PA. Neil was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Grove City Lions Club and a volunteer literacy tutor. He was a US Army Veteran, stationed in Austria during the Korean War, serving in the signal corps. He retired after 39 years from the Federal Aviation Administration as a radar technician. Neil was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be sorely missed. He delighted in the company of his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren loved spending time with their Papa. He was known for his wit, humor and generosity. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Lorraine Marie O’Donnell; daughter Bridget A. O’Donnell; son-in-law Bill Brotherton; brother Owen O’Donnell; sisters Mary O’Donnell, Nora Jean Stephenson and Gracie Sell. Survivors include son Tim (Sue) O’Donnell; daughters Erin (Dan) Stout and Amy Brotherton; brother Johnny O’Donnell, brother-in-law John Nigon and his grandchildren Amanda and Danny Stout, Megan, Emily and Katie Brotherton, Christine, Mike and Katie O’Donnell; nieces, nephews and dear friends. two peas in a pod
I'm the kind of person who keeps their promises. So here's my promise to all 2.5 of you! (I really should get a site meter thing so I can see how many people actually look at this page.)
My All-Time Favorite TV Couples! (In no particular order)
1. Casey and Cappie - Greek
They are just too friggin cute together! I think it'll be interesting to see if/how they've changed when Greek comes back in a couple of months. We've heard all about them dating freshmen year, but all we've seen so far is the random hook-up. Good stuff.
I'm going to give these two the "Hottest Couple" award. If anyone can look gorgeous in shoulder pads, it's Lori Loughlin. And John Stamos... oh baby!
Last year when I watched all 10 seasons of Friends (pause for applause...) I always liked these two better than Rachel and Ross. Plus Chandler's good for a laugh and Monica reminds me of myself sometimes.
These two are the happiest people I've never met! And they're actual people, not just actors! I really wonder how they stay sane with 18 kids (and counting, haha!) but I think the answer to that question is that they have 18 kids. Bow chicka wow wow.
I have loved Jim and Pam from the first time I watched The Office many moons ago. Thankfully, it would seem that their wedding hasn't caused the fantastic dynamic between office-mates to change too much. Although as of late, Pam has become more and more annoying in my opinion. Yes, your boss dating your mother is weird, but they are both adults, so get over it. And for someone who's 6 months pregnant on the show, she really doesn't look it at all. But you know, I still love them as a couple.
Again, another couple I've loved since the beginning of the show. They clearly bring out the best of each other, even though no one would think to pair scruffy Luke with quirky Lorelai. Thankfully, even after they broke off their engagement and spent most of the seventh season apart, they rekindled their love in the very last episode of the show.

Kate might make my fabulous females list though. Hmmm... maybe that'll be my next list! Hooray for new ideas!

don't judge me, I'm only human! - Chandler Bing
I did it! I posted my second story! This one has a fun backstory too.
Two days ago, I found a link to an article in someone's profile on the fanfiction site that I write for. I was curious, so I clicked on it. Here is that article:
Yup. Ultra-conservative, "Christian" smut bashing one of the most popular television shows out there today. Not only is the article extremely biased and factually inaccurate, but the author is rude and disrespectful to the people who leave comments pointing out the error of his ways. He is homophobic, sexist, and racist, even going so far as to call a reader "clueless" because he is Scottish. Naturally, I commented on the article. However, Katie and I have decided that any comment that appears to be grammatically correct and intelligent, the author doesn't comment on. Probably because he's intimidated.
Then last night, I was struck with a fantastic idea. I've read stories before where the characters of NCIS discover fanfiction websites. So why not write a story where the characters find this terrible article? I did, and published it this morning! Here's the link:

Oh, and while I was bunny-sitting yesterday, I took loads of pictures and videos of Rosie. I'm gonna be a proud bunny aunt and show you my favorite... drumroll please!
