While I've been working on homework for the past week or so, I've been watching Gilmore Girls on DVD. It's weird, but I find that it helps me want to achieve more and work harder, with the exception of the brief period of time where Rory lapses and drops out of Yale. Anyway, it's been good for my work ethic, but I'm nearing the end of the series now (booo!) and Rory is on her post-grad job hunt. Obviously, in the end she gets an awesome job, but right now I'm at the part where she's offered a job at a newspaper in Providence, Rhode Island, but she turns it down because she wants to see if she gets a fellowship that would give her a position at the New York Times. Clearly, because karma is a bitch, she doesn't the get the fellowship and has already turned down the job in Rhode Island, thereby leaving her to be screwed. And the whole time I'm watching this horrifying turn of events, I'm screaming at her in my head to TAKE THE FUCKING JOB. I realize that these episodes aired in 2007, before the economy tanked and the job market started sucking hardcore, but watching these episodes now makes me want to smack Rory in the face.
Part of my frustration is from accidentally reading a blog entry earlier about how library school is a waste of time and money unless you already have library experience and you can do it without loans. Well damn. I have no library experience and I definitely couldn't do it without loans. I already have tons of loans from undergrad, and once I graduate, I'll have loans from grad school too. I'm praying that I get some sort of scholarship, especially after I worked for two days on my applications. The fact of the matter is that the job market sucks for just about everyone. I'm also taking a risk in limiting myself geographically in my search. I know that's not a smart thing to do, but I need to be happy where I live, and I've learned that I don't do well alone. Plus, I'm going to be drowning in student loan repayments, so even if I manage to snag a decent paying full time job, I'll have to live at home with my parents anyway.
I hate that it's so easy to get into college, or even grad school, but that it's almost impossible to find a job. I also hate that finding a job you enjoy isn't the priority anymore. It's all about finding ANYTHING.

The 30 Day TV Meme (what exactly is a meme anyway?):
Day 1: A show that should have never been cancelled
Easy. GILMORE GIRLS. I blame Amy Sherman-Palladino for the downfall of a fantastic show that ended entirely too soon.
Day 2: A show you wish more people were watching
Hmm... either Army Wives or Covert Affairs. I love both of these shows, but it seems like outside of a couple of friends and my family (at least as far as CA goes), not many other people watch them. Obviously there are people watching them... CA was renewed for a second season after like the 4th episode of the first season, but they're not people I know. So next summer when they both come back (fingers crossed on AW!), watch them!
Day 3: Your favorite new TV show (aired this season)
Well technically we're in between the end of the summer season and the beginning of the fall season, so I'll say Covert Affairs since that came out when I was on vacation, which by the way, it doesn't seem possible that that was almost 2 months ago, but it was.
Day 4: Your favorite show ever
NCIS. Hands. Down. This is another show that I just started watching a little over a year ago, but let me tell you, I've seen every episode at least twice, and most of them I've seen way more times than that, and if a show can keep my interest that strong in such a high concentrated amount. Let's face it, I get distracted easily, so the fact that NCIS has kept my attention so well is kind of a big deal.
Day 5: A show you hate
I realize I'm going to get flack for this, but I don't care. I really hate Grey's Anatomy. I think it went from a good hospital drama to a completely outrageous circus disguised as a hospital. Too many good actors have left the show for bullshit reasons, and it shows. Yes, having a season finale where numerous people randomly get shot gets a lot of attention, but if it was a good show, it would have gotten the same attention with something understated. No one gives a flying fig about the other episodes from the most recent season, and that's because they sucked.
Day 6: Favorite episode of your favorite TV show
This is mean! There isn't an episode I don't love. I guess if I had to pick one about the others, it would probably be Twisted Sister. I love how dedicated McGee is to his sister (and real-life step-sister... Don Bellasario keeps it in the family!) and of course, it's the big reveal of the book he's been working on in secret... probably because he "loosely" based all of the characters off of his co-workers. Whoops. Anyway, I like it because it's one of those turning-point episodes where we start to see that McGee isn't as green as he used to be.
Day 7: Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Another bad question! Probably Judgement Day Part 1&2. I know that Jenny was dying of something (rumors online speculated that it was muscular dystrophy) anyway, but I really hate how she was killed off of the show, and then they brought in Vance. I hate Vance a little less now than I did at the beginning of season 6, but I don't think it was fair what they did to Director Shepherd's character. She's actually an intelligent and competent woman in season 3 and most of season 4, but then in season 5 they turned into an obsessive maniac. Plus, I read online that Lauren Holly had no idea that she was being killed off of the show, and I think that's crappy. At least when Kate was killed off, Sasha Alexander wanted off of the show.
Day 8: A show everyone should watch
This may sound silly, but everyone needs to watch just one episode of 19 Kids and Counting. Even if you don't believe in the Duggar's policy regarding the number of their children, you can't deny that those kids are some of the most polite and well-behaved children out there. Go watch an old episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 and follow it immediately with an episode of 19 Kids and you'll see what I mean.
Day 9: Best scene ever
The scene from Friends where Rachel finds out that she's pregnant. I love love LOVE that Phoebe tricks her into thinking that she's not pregnant so she'll have clarity on what her thoughts on having a baby would be! The look on Rachel's face when Phoebe tells her the truth is priceless... my bet is that they did that in one take.
Day 10: A show you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving
*shifty eyes*... NCIS. You can ask my sister, when she first started watching it in the early part of last summer, I absolutely hated it. I think I only watched bits and pieces of the show, but other than Law & Order: SVU, I had never found a one hour crime drama that I liked. Now I'm hooked.
Day 11: A show that disappointed you
White Collar. On paper, I thought I would really like it, but I got bored after the first couple of episodes. I watched a few episodes this summer because my parents watch it, and I liked them okay, but I still expected more from that show.
Day 12: An episode you've watched more than 5 times
According to iTunes, I've watched Caged (from NCIS, of course) five times. It's the episode where McGee is held hostage in a woman's prison... I'm not surprised that I've watched it that much! Any McGee-centric episode is high on my list!
Day 13: Favorite childhood show
The first show that I remember being in love with was Full House. I actually cried when the last episode aired. I usually cry when the last episode of a show airs. But that was the first. I remember I got really irritated with Michelle and how she basically got to do her own thing when she was so young, but I loved DJ. Donna Jo was the shit. And of course, now I find Uncle Jesse foxy.
Day 14: Favorite male character
If it wasn't for the whole surprise daughter thing, I would have said Luke from Gilmore Girls, but he handled that whole situation so poorly and it destroyed his relationship with Lorelai, so scratch that. Probably Gibbs. He's a very complex person, and yet I feel like every time the writers bring in another dimension of his character, it makes sense. It's like, "Oh, why didn't I see that all along." I'm a big fan of consistency on TV shows, and NCIS does a really good job with that, especially with Gibbs.
Day 15: Favorite female character
Annie Walker on Covert Affairs. Even though the first season just wrapped, I feel like we know a lot about her character already, and she's one strong woman!
Day 16: Your guilty pleasure show
Keeping Up With the Kardashians/Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. No judging, you all have guilty shows too!
Day 17: Favorite mini series
I honestly can't think of an entire mini-series that I've watched.
Day 18: Favorite title sequence
NCIS! I love to dance to the music, and up until recently, they always update the clips. Even when Gibbs left at the end of season 3, when they had the credits for Mark Harmon on screen, the videos behind his name were of him on the beach in Mexico. Now that's dedication to consistency!
Day 19: Best TV show cast
I'm starting to feel like a broken record, but NCIS totally wins this one too. For one thing, the actors are all actually friends in real life. Pauley Perrette and Sean Murray are BIFFLES4LYFE, and when Lauren Holly first joined the cast, she rented a condo with Cote de Pablo (who also had just joined the show), Michael Weatherly, and Pauley Perrette. They were friggin' roomsicles! And even though Mark Harmon is always the one who get interviewed by the bigwigs, he makes a point to emphasize that NCIS is an ENSEMBLE show and that while his names comes first, without the other actors and behind-the-scenes crew, he would be nothing. Now that's love.
Day 20: Favorite kiss
Ross and Rachel in Central Perk. YOU KNOW THE ONE.
Totally just noticed that Rachel's wearing a ring on her left ring finger... what?
Day 21: Favorite ship
McAbby! I know it happened a long long time ago, but there's so much chemistry between them. Plus, they really get each other. Until Vance came around, the only person who really appreciated McGee's tech skills was Abby. And Abby gets jealous every time McGee dates someone new (who usually turns out to be a wack job, so good job for her having that kind of insight) which would be understandable right after they broke up sometime in season 2, but when she's still getting jealous 5 years later... SHE'S DRIFTING INTO RACHEL GREEN TERRITORY!
Day 22: Favorite series finale
I already covered how the ends of shows make me cry. So if I had to pick, I'd say Gilmore Girls. No, it wasn't perfect because Luke and Lorelai didn't get married, but Rory graduated and miraculously got a real-person job (with Obama!) so I feel like it ended in a good spot. Plus Richard actually tells Lorelai how proud he is of her for what she's done with her life and how she's raised Rory.
Day 23: Most annoying character
Meredith Grey. Look in the dictionary for "whiny self-absorbed bitch" and there's a picture of Meredith, I guarantee it.
Day 24: Best quote
From Army Wives: The mind plays tricks on us at times like this. It has to. We need it to. It's how we're able to power on and do what needs to be done. Even something as mundane as doing the dishes that are piling up in the sink, or going out, getting up and doing what needs to be done for your loved ones. The future doesn't stop. We all search for strength on that first day or two. I did. But whether what I found was true strength or some part of our DNA that makes us want to reach out and help, I don't know. Times like this we question our own strength, our ability to hang on and not crumble. It's one of the things I admire most about the army wives I've met. Must be a military thing- this capacity to press on despite the obstacles, to see a mission through to its completion. No matter what happens that makes us question the world we live in, life goes on, as cliché as that sounds. One generation passes the baton to the next generation and the cycle of life continues. Regeneration- life renewed. What is it that the poets keep trying to hammer into our heads? Winter becomes spring, night becomes day, as one wave crashes onto the shore and disappears, another one appears behind it, and another and another. I guess we humans just plain want to stick around. The ride must be worth the price of admission. And it's not in us to give up hope, even when any reason for hope has dwindled to almost nothing. This communal spirit, this crazy insistence that we all are connected in each other's caretaker, it keeps us from sinking into despair, or sliding into the abyss. What is it about the human touch- holding a loved one close and feeling their warmth, their heartbeat. I mean this is the Army and frequently our loved ones are far away. But their warmth doesn't have to be. At times it feels totally random. It's roll of the dice on who lives and who dies. At some point words fail us and we're left with silence. Silence and time. I read something once, to live in hears you leave behind, is not to die. I don't know what each of you is going to do today, but now is the time to tell those you love, that you love them. Like we loved Amanda and she lives in our hearts still, and will never be forgotten. Me, I think I'm going to pick up my kids up and take that ride down to the ocean like they wanted. The water's beautiful this time of the year. Besides, they know where the gold starfish are.
Just rereading that made me teary-eyed. Good stuff.
Day 25: A show you plan on watching, old or new
I really want to watch Rissoli and Isles, even though the summer season ended. But I want to see what Sasha Alexander is like in a major role that isn't Kate. And she plays a medical examiner!
Day 26: OMG WTF? Season finale
NCIS always ends their seasons with a bang. Let's review:
Season 1: Kate was taken hostage by Ari, and Ari attempts to shoot down Marine One.
Season 2: Kate gets sniped by Ari, after taking a bullet to save Gibbs when the team is trying to prevent Ari from launching a guided missile at a Navy ship returning home.
Season 3: Gibbs gets blown up on a merchant ship, suffers memory loss and thinks he's still fighting in Desert Storm, and ultimately retires to Mexico to live with Mike Franks.
Season 4: Tony's car gets blown up while NCIS is watching in MTAC and thinks he was in it when they find his badge, gun, and cell phone in with the charred remains. Director Shepherd finds evidence that her father, who allegedly killed himself years earlier, is in fact still alive.
Season 5: Director Shepherd, Tony, and Ziva attend the funeral of another NCIS agent in LA, while Jenny discovers that her cover may have been blown on an undercover op years earlier, and now that person is killing off people involved in that mission; first the agent whose funeral they went to, then Jenny, and eventually Gibbs (but the last never happens, thankfully). Vance becomes the new director of NCIS, and he splits up Team Gibbs, sending Tony to be an Agent Afloat, Ziva back to Israel, and McGee to the Cybercrime unit.
Season 6: Tony kills Ziva's boyfriend (and Mossad partner), and Ziva's apartment gets blown up. Ziva permanently moves back to Israel, until her father sends her on a mission that ultimately ends with her being held prisoner in Somalia.
Season 7: The members of the drug cartel that Gibbs killed the leader of years earlier (because he killed Gibbs' wife and young daughter) are now after Gibbs, and go around trying to kill the people Gibbs holds nearest and dearest. The show ends with the cartel woman going into Gibbs' father's shop and flipping the sign on the door to closed. Creepy.
Day 27: Best pilot episode
Covert Affairs! I was completely hooked on the first episode, so much that I watched it 3 times in less than 48 hours, and part of that time I was traveling.
Day 28: First TV show obsession
In more recent years, Gilmore Girls. I don't know if I was really obsessed with Full House because I was so little, but that may have been the actual first.
Day 29: Current TV show obsession
I'm not even answering this. If you can't figure that out by reading this survey, you're dumber than I thought.
Day 30: Saddest character death
When I watch the episodes after Kate's death on NCIS, I cry more than I do when Jenny died. Jenny's death was handled very differently. It was basically swept under the rug... and then her house was lit on fire. Kate's death was very public. We got to see each of the team's thoughts around her death, and how they all reacted. Like when Tony starts to pick on McGee (like usual) when McGee makes some stupid comment about how Kate probably doesn't look that bad from the front because of the type of bullet used to shoot her in the head, and then McGee asks Tony to stop because he just can't handle that kind of criticism that day, and Tony actually stops. It's one of the few times we get to see Tony respect McGee. And when "Kate" scolds Gibbs for being late to her funeral, even thought it's such a sad moment, it makes me smile a little bit because it's very ... Kate.

Season 5: Director Shepherd, Tony, and Ziva attend the funeral of another NCIS agent in LA, while Jenny discovers that her cover may have been blown on an undercover op years earlier, and now that person is killing off people involved in that mission; first the agent whose funeral they went to, then Jenny, and eventually Gibbs (but the last never happens, thankfully). Vance becomes the new director of NCIS, and he splits up Team Gibbs, sending Tony to be an Agent Afloat, Ziva back to Israel, and McGee to the Cybercrime unit.
Season 6: Tony kills Ziva's boyfriend (and Mossad partner), and Ziva's apartment gets blown up. Ziva permanently moves back to Israel, until her father sends her on a mission that ultimately ends with her being held prisoner in Somalia.
Season 7: The members of the drug cartel that Gibbs killed the leader of years earlier (because he killed Gibbs' wife and young daughter) are now after Gibbs, and go around trying to kill the people Gibbs holds nearest and dearest. The show ends with the cartel woman going into Gibbs' father's shop and flipping the sign on the door to closed. Creepy.
Day 27: Best pilot episode
Covert Affairs! I was completely hooked on the first episode, so much that I watched it 3 times in less than 48 hours, and part of that time I was traveling.
Day 28: First TV show obsession
In more recent years, Gilmore Girls. I don't know if I was really obsessed with Full House because I was so little, but that may have been the actual first.
Day 29: Current TV show obsession
I'm not even answering this. If you can't figure that out by reading this survey, you're dumber than I thought.
Day 30: Saddest character death
When I watch the episodes after Kate's death on NCIS, I cry more than I do when Jenny died. Jenny's death was handled very differently. It was basically swept under the rug... and then her house was lit on fire. Kate's death was very public. We got to see each of the team's thoughts around her death, and how they all reacted. Like when Tony starts to pick on McGee (like usual) when McGee makes some stupid comment about how Kate probably doesn't look that bad from the front because of the type of bullet used to shoot her in the head, and then McGee asks Tony to stop because he just can't handle that kind of criticism that day, and Tony actually stops. It's one of the few times we get to see Tony respect McGee. And when "Kate" scolds Gibbs for being late to her funeral, even thought it's such a sad moment, it makes me smile a little bit because it's very ... Kate.

I'm going to take this opportunity to demonstrate how awesome my day was.
- Woke up way early
- Spent about an hour and a half in LA traffic this morning
- Went on the Warner Bros. Studio tour!
- Got to see outdoor sets from Gilmore Girls!
- Got to see original costumes and props from Harry Potter!
- Got to see the set of Central Perk from Friends AND I got to sit on *the* couch!!
- Had a delicious lunch that included avocado
- Roasted in the hot LA sun outside Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Kodak theater
- Had a tasty milkshake from Coldstone
- Spent an hour and 45 minutes in LA traffic heading back to Anaheim this evening
- Laughed my ass off listening to Steve Hofstetter in the car
- Ate an okay dinner at Mimi's Cafe
- Watched my sister be served a blueberry muffin with butter and ranch dressing
- The end!
My vacationing is at last coming to an end... I left on the Western trip one month ago, and now I have just a few days before going back to C-bus for my last stretch of home time before leaving for grad school. It seems crazy, but I think I'm okay with being done with traveling for awhile. I need to get back on some sort of a regular schedule, and most importantly, I need to start thinking about grad school. To be perfectly honest, I've kinda forgotten about it. But no more! It's time to start thinking ahead.

ennui
Hi.
This weather really sucks. I don't like the rain when I'm already in a bad mood. Rain is supposed to be there when you've been in a really good mood for such a long time that you need the rain to knock you down a notch. Let's make a list!

For those of you who were not blessed enough to watch Gilmore Girls when it was on TV, here is a clip explaining what ennui is:
That is me in a nutshell right now. I'm not entirely sure why, I had a lot of fun this afternoon with Brenda, Jackie, and Dustin, but then I got home and it was like WHOOMP! EnnuiMonster! I think it's partially because I've been disappointed a lot lately and I'm getting really tired of it. Nothing seems to really be going my way, and unfortunately I can't do a damn thing to make things go my way.
I want my financial aid packet from Kent State. I want my car to not be a lousy piece of crap. I've noticed now that even when I'm in other people's car, I automatically tense up when we stop at traffic lights because I've trained myself to check to see if the check oil light is on when I'm stopped. I'm tired of being broke all of the time. I want to be able to buy things and fix things, but without money, you can't do anything. I'm also deathly afraid that I won't be able to go to grad school at all next year because of the money.
I'm tired of being lonely all the time. For the last 6 months in my relationship with Bill, we barely saw each other, and we really should have seen each other more often. Scratch that, we should have WANTED to see each other more often. Sadly, our relationship was healthier when he was in Denver. I just want to be in a relationship where the guy makes an effort. It's really done a number on my self-confidence. I am done pulling the wagon. He has to help! (and by 'he' I mean the hypothetical male figure that doesn't exist) I mean really, what the hell is with guys today? They've gotten lazy because now that us women are all independent thinkers who make the first move, they think that they don't ever have to make the first move. That's not the case! Some of us women have gotten burnt out and we deserve a break. As much as I'm all for women's rights, sometimes I wish we were back in the days where girls waited for the guys to call them to ask them out. None of this texting/Facebook/IM business. None of this elusive crap when the girl asks the guy out, because guys are so much harder to read than girls. Guys, if you can't tell when a girl is interested in you, you don't deserve her. (ironically, "Tell Him" by Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand just came on my iTunes. that's the problem RIGHT THERE.) Anyway, I want a simpler time. If a guy calls you and asks you to dinner on Friday night, he's interested in you. Plain and simple. But if a girls calls a guy and asks him to dinner on Friday night, it could be as friends, or it could be a romantic thing, or worse, one person could think it's a friend thing and the other could think it's a romantic thing. THIS IS WHY WE NEED LABELS. They suck because they make men all anxious and weird because they all have commitment issues (and many women do too, let's be fair) but sometimes you just need to get it all out on the table.
Can you tell I'm in my man-hating phase? Actually, it's more of a love/hate phase. Hate for all of the previous reasons stated, but love because I'm lonely and I'm definitely a relationship person.

I should write things down more often...
Ta-da! I made my blog all pretty and fresh! I thought that it's time for a change, and the old look was so dark and blech, and let's face it, winter's over. If you're a blogging-type like me, you should check out the site where I found this layout. I posted their pretty pink graphic underneath my Formspring.me box. BEE TEE DUBS, I have been sorely lacking in questions from you fine folks recently. This makes me sad. I get the website to ask me a random question a day, but it's not the same! So show me your lovin' and ask away, por favor.
I am slightly disappointed in myself. I came up with a super fantastic idea last night while I was watching Glee, but then I went to sleep last night and I woke up and forgot 1/3 of my idea! Anyway, the basic idea was the stereotypical dumb jock on TV.

First off, the physical similarities are uncanny. Same floppy brown hair, same doey eyes. Both are tall and broad shouldered. Both are high school boys.
Then there's their bizarre relationship histories. Dean dated Rory, dumped Rory because she didn't say 'I love you' after three months of dating (in high school!) then got back together with Rory, then became insanely jealous of Rory's friendship with Jess, then dumped Rory at the end of a 24 hour dance marathon because the insane jealousy overtook him. Then after he dated and married Lindsay in under a year, he cheated on his new wife with Rory multiple times, Lindsay found out, divorced Dean, and then Dean and Rory continued to date, until Rory's grandparents had a party and he saw her *gasp* TALKING TO OTHER BOYS. Dean Forrester, you are one nutty cashew.
I don't know nearly as much about Finn's relationships as I do Dean's, but Glee's only been on the air for half of a season. So far, Finn was convinced by his now ex-girlfriend Quinn (and can I just take a second to say that dating someone whose name rhymes with your own is WEIRD.) that he got her pregnant by making out in a hot tub. That's right. He was that stupid. Maybe he didn't have health class in high school yet, but even still, I knew what needs to happen to make a baby when I was in 5th grade. Finally, Quinn comes clean and then Finn dates Rachel, dumps Rachel, dates two other cheerleaders at the same time, then tries to get back together with Rachel twice. And that's just from last night's episode! So yes. Another basket case on the loose.

I get by with a little help from my friends
Hi.
I've been a bad blogger. Honestly, I haven't had anything to write about. I could write about some of my babysitting adventures, but I haven't had a sit since last Friday. I realized today when I went to pick up Katie at school that I hadn't left the house since I got home from babysitting last Friday. Yeah. That's five days without leaving the house. I didn't even make it to Mass. And the scary part is that it didn't phase me at all. I guess when I want to leave, I want to go somewhere fantastic, which isn't Worthington, Ohio in early February. Oh well. I have a job again tomorrow morning. For the first time a family actually requested me! It's like I've made it to the other side. Too bad it's at 8:30 in the morning and it's half an hour away when it isn't rush hour traffic. But it's money, and I need money, I guess. Sometimes I wish bartering was still around. Like, here grad school, take this chicken as payment! Here you go evil student loan people, I have about 262,384,049 articles of clothing that don't fit and my sister has deemed 'uncool'!
This had a point, I promise.
Actually, who am I kidding? There's no point to this. I contemplated for about half a second making a productive entry about my favorite black people (because let's face it, sometimes I just want to join the club!) but in the end, that just seems like too much work and I want to be asleep before midnight so I don't show angry Christine to the kiddies tomorrow.
I really should get in the practice of waking up early again. But when you can't get to sleep until 2:30 AM, it's very hard. Last summer, I woke up at 10 if I worked at noon, and if I worked at 8 AM, I woke up at 7 and ate breakfast at work. Then when I moved home, I was waking up at about 9. But gradually 9 became 9:30 and today it wasn't until 10 that I could drag my sorry ass out of bed. My mom I guess woke me up, reminded me to get up, took a shower, checked on me again, and I had fallen back asleep. And last night was an early bedtime of 1:30! Also, it's hard for me to sleep now without listening to the thunderstorm track I have on my iTunes. Yup, I'm cool.
I know what I can do to make this productive! I'm going to make a list of the people I will need to employ if I want to fix everything that is wrong in my life!
Christine's List of "Special Helpers"
1. Personal Trainer - Yes, while I did in fact lose one whole pound this week (no clue how), I still have about a million pounds to go until I like myself again. And I don't think I'm fat enough to go on The Biggest Loser.
2. Professional Organizer - While I can maintain an organized space, organizing 11 years of crap is not something I can do. I'm not even sure what exactly is on one side of my closet because I haven't been able to get to it since before I went to college. Plus I bet my parents would love to be able to park their van in the garage again.
3. Therapist - I'm totally not past that mental breakdown point. I just cry now. Half the time I'm not even sure why. And while it's not just me in my family, I am probably one of the bigger culprits of acting insane. By insane I mean that I go from being ridonkulous to sobbing in 2.5 seconds. Methinks there's an issue here.
4. Life Coach - So I know now that I want to be a librarian, but I still feel like I need a little bit of guidance in this department. Basically I've lost the ability to have any confidence in the decisions I make, and I need CONSTANT reassurance that I made the right choice. Let's face it, so far my track record hasn't been great. I picked a major based on an activity I enjoyed in high school and a preconcieved notion that I would oust Mr. Renzi of a job. Then I dated the same guy for entirely too long because I was afraid that my family would be mad at me after dumping him a second time (because I distinctly remember them being upset with me after dumping him the first time). So if someone could help me see what I'm supposed to be doing with my life, that would be great. Maybe I could take up crafts, just like Paris Gellar.
5. Stylist - I can't buy clothes for myself. There. I said it. I can pick out clothes for other people with no problem, but when it comes to myself, I always resort to the same old tired looks. I have zero creativity in my outfits. Also, I don't do much with my hair. I now consider it to be an effort if I have to blow dry it all the way, so I just do a half-assed job. Sometimes I'll straighten it. If I'm feeling spunky. Perhaps the stylist and the professional organizer can team up and help me get rid of all of the crappy clothes/shoes I've accumulated through the years.
I suppose that finding a sugar daddy should also be on this list so I can pay for all these people, but I have a funny feeling that Ms. Life Coach wouldnt' approve.

two peas in a pod
I'm the kind of person who keeps their promises. So here's my promise to all 2.5 of you! (I really should get a site meter thing so I can see how many people actually look at this page.)
My All-Time Favorite TV Couples! (In no particular order)
1. Casey and Cappie - Greek
They are just too friggin cute together! I think it'll be interesting to see if/how they've changed when Greek comes back in a couple of months. We've heard all about them dating freshmen year, but all we've seen so far is the random hook-up. Good stuff.
I'm going to give these two the "Hottest Couple" award. If anyone can look gorgeous in shoulder pads, it's Lori Loughlin. And John Stamos... oh baby!
Last year when I watched all 10 seasons of Friends (pause for applause...) I always liked these two better than Rachel and Ross. Plus Chandler's good for a laugh and Monica reminds me of myself sometimes.
These two are the happiest people I've never met! And they're actual people, not just actors! I really wonder how they stay sane with 18 kids (and counting, haha!) but I think the answer to that question is that they have 18 kids. Bow chicka wow wow.
I have loved Jim and Pam from the first time I watched The Office many moons ago. Thankfully, it would seem that their wedding hasn't caused the fantastic dynamic between office-mates to change too much. Although as of late, Pam has become more and more annoying in my opinion. Yes, your boss dating your mother is weird, but they are both adults, so get over it. And for someone who's 6 months pregnant on the show, she really doesn't look it at all. But you know, I still love them as a couple.
Again, another couple I've loved since the beginning of the show. They clearly bring out the best of each other, even though no one would think to pair scruffy Luke with quirky Lorelai. Thankfully, even after they broke off their engagement and spent most of the seventh season apart, they rekindled their love in the very last episode of the show.

I have a few favorite things in my life right now. They include NCIS, lists, watching movies, and IMDB.com. So I thought, why not combine all of these things and make a fantastic list of movies (actual movies, not made for TV movies or TV shows) that the cast of NCIS has starred in, researched on IMDB.com! I know, I'm a nerd. But I'm a nerd who has fun!

This is an extremely long list, and as much as I love Brian Dietzen, Lauren Holly, Sasha Alexander, and Rocky Carroll, they're just going to have to wait until round two. Now all I have to do is watch as many of these movies as I can find! Some of the older ones that David McCallum was in might be hard to find. Ditto to all the really crappy TV movies that Sean Murray did.

2002!
Life is just too weird for words right now. I can't believe so many people are leaving and that I'm (kinda) one of them. As strange as it seems, I'm watching an episode of Gilmore Girls (season 7) and Rory goes to a 2002 themed party, and I thought to myself, oh wow, that would be so fun! BUT soon I leave UD and where else can I throw a kickass 2002 themed party? Nowhere because when I graduate I'm going somewhere where I know one person and as much fun as he can be, two people don't make a party. Why oh why am I leaving now? I hope to God this is worth it.
