Majoring in Minors

The girls on my floor decided to be quiet tonight... awesome! Now if only I could an additional 6 inches of room on my bottom bunk, I'd be pretty okay with where I'm living. If I manage to make it out of summer without a concussion, it's going to be a miracle.

While being a Facebook creeper tonight, I was going through my old profile pictures and I've determined two things. One, I need to work a little harder at losing weight. I haven't gained any since school let out, but I also haven't lost any either. No more Chipotle splurges! (Firefox suggested that 'Chipotle' be changed to 'Chippendale'... lol) Two, I haven't healed from my breakup with being a drum major. I didn't date anyone in the fall and the only thing I had passion about was being a drum major, so when Nikki didn't choose me again, she essentially destroyed my relationship. I was talking to Airport earlier about the situation with The Third and his ex (haven't really thought of a good name for her yet). Airport still has some open wounds with his ex (who dumped him in November 2006) and he basically told me that I don't have ANY idea what she's going through because I've never been dumped by someone who I cared about. He's right, in a way. No person has dumped me. However, this doesn't mean that I don't know heartbreak. Losing my position as drum major was an incredible blow to me. I still hurt when I think about how different MY SENIOR YEAR will be. I lost the one thing that kept me going this past fall when all I wanted to do was break down and cry because I thought I had made the wrong choice regarding Blue Eyes.

I'm a little concerned that all I am is a rebound for The Third. I know it was a month after he broke up with her that he and I started dating, but I didn't feel completely ready to date again until at least 3 or 4 months after I had dumped Blue Eyes. I'm probably over thinking as usual, but there's still a nagging feeling that he's not ready for me yet. I just hope that this week apart won't make him reconsider anything. We're still so fresh and new and not a permanent fixture that it wouldn't be a big deal if he called things off, except that I'm invested emotionally more than I should be. From my point of view, we fit together so well. I just hope that I fit with him in his eyes as well as he fits with me in mine.

Oh yes, the ex has now mentioned me in her blog. I feel so special.
